The Spanish Embassy in London required a series of leaflets to promote the learning and teaching of the Spanish language in UK schools.
The client didn't wish to have anything too 'geographical' in the designs, but was keen to highlight the number of Spanish speaking countries worldwide.
By looking at the 21 different flags of these countries, I noticed there were various iconic and graphic marks that could be used to create a unique set of asterisks for the leaflets. This became the basis of the design work.
By printing in just two colours and eliminating any use of photography, the designs became memorable and the content easier to digest.
