After the inaugural success of the first BCNMCR event in 2013, I decided to follow it up with another exhibition and series of talks.
I invited 11 new designers, illustrators and typographers over from Barcelona to Manchester. Guided by the support of Shillington College, Estrella Damm, GF Smith and Creative Review, I was able to design and print an event newspaper featuring exclusive interviews with all the participants involved.
I also worked with Laura Meseguer, who created typography for the branding by using imagery of found type from both Manchester and Barcelona.
As part of the exhibition, TwentyTwentyTwo brewed their own special beer and we named it 'Una Mica De Sol' - translated as a little bit of sunshine in Catalan. I designed a unique typeface and identity for the beer.
